Microsoft the Musical was a full original musical completed in 8 weeks by 150 employees and interns of Microsoft. The lyrics, music, orchestra, vocals, production, and editing were all done by Microsoft employees.
I was brought on as a associate cinematographer and assistant director. I scouted and coordinated use of all the locations around campus. I worked with the choreographers and cinematographer to plan the shots. I helped assemble and prep the rental order and gear assembly. On set, I helped coordinate the cinematography team and also took on various duties such as camera operator, focus pulling, framing, and lighting design.
The video was filmed on an ARRI Alexa Mini in UHD ProRes 4444 on a Movi Pro Gimbal.
